Test Day Checklist: Everything You Need to Bring

You've studied hard, but showing up without the right documents can mean you can't take the test! Here's your complete checklist for test day success.

Required Documents (Province-Specific)

Ontario (G1 Test)

βœ… Two pieces of ID showing:

  • Your full legal name
  • Your date of birth
  • Your signature

Acceptable ID:

  • Canadian passport
  • Birth certificate
  • Canadian citizenship card
  • Permanent resident card
  • School ID with your photo

British Columbia (Class 7 Knowledge Test)

Universal Items to Bring

Documents (Keep in a folder!)

  • [ ] Glasses or contacts (if you need them to see)

The Night Before

Prepare Your Bag

  • Put all documents in a folder
  • Set out comfortable clothes
  • Pack your checklist items
  • Charge your phone (for before/after, not during!)

Double-Check Details

  • Testing center address
  • Appointment time
  • Parking information
  • Bus/transit schedule if needed

Get Ready for Sleep

  • Set 2 alarms (phone + backup)
  • Lay out your outfit
  • Prepare an easy breakfast
  • Go to bed by 10 PM

Morning Of

2 Hours Before

  • Eat a good breakfast (protein + complex carbs)
  • Review ID documents one more time
  • Do a quick mental review (but don't cram!)

1 Hour Before
